April Progress - Al Thumama Stadium

Consction porgress of the Al Thumama Stadium, one of the 8 staiudm for the Qatar WorldCup 2022. The concept is based on the Ghafiyah, which forms part of the typical Qatari headpiece worn by men across the region.  Following the World Cup the Stadium will house a multipurpose pavilion, Aquatic Centre, Boutique Hotel, Mosque, and 2 local teams will use the Stadium in the Legacy Mode.

Caleido - Promotional Video (Foundation stone)

Fenwick Iribarren Architects together Schlaich Bergermann Partner and Hilson Moran were commissioned by the Supreme Committee to design Ras Abu Aboud Stadium.   It will be the first ever demountable, transportable and reusable stadium in the World & the third stadium FIA has developed for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.  The stadium has a capacity of 40.000 y and its structure is based on shipping containers which can be easily assembled or disassembled as required.

Following the World cup, the stadium can be dismantled by section or in parts and be transported to other host cities for the next World Cup, helping make it more sustainable and financially viable for other countries.

Al Thumama Stadium 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar

The Al Thumama stadium designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects in collaboration with AEB (Arab Engineering Bureau).

It is located six kilometres south of Doha’s glittering skyline and seafront promenade. Al Thumama Stadium’s design represents the gahfiya – a traditional woven cap worn by males across the Arab world and beyond.

Qatar Foundation Stadium - Doha - Qatar

Located approximately seven kilometres west of central Doha, the new, 40,000-seat stadium will fulfil all FIFA requirements for hosting matches through the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar

Cameldrome - Doha - Qatar

Fenwick Iribarren Architects were commissioned to develop a modern Cameldrome stadium and also to propose a movement system which allowed 450 VIP spectators to follow the camel race alongside  the track, at speeds of up to 60 km/h.

Middle East Avenue, designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, is a project that aims to revitalize and modernize the main street of Doha, joining the Bay of Doha with the Royal Residences.

Concurso - Nuevas oficinas Real Madrid

Fenwick Iribarren Architects was invited to a restricted competition to design the New Headquarters Offices for Real Madrid in the Football Clubs sport City in Valdebebeas, Madrid.

Ladies Sports Centre - Doha - Qatar

Fenwick Iribarren Architects was commissioned to design a women sport complex. The project consists of a design for a sports complex for exclusive use by women which can be used as a prototype that can be incorporated in different neighbourhoods within Doha, Qatar. It has a multipurpose hall, an indoor swimming pool, a library and a cafeteria amongst other uses.

Parque empresarial - Las Mercedes

JJL Oficinas prepared, as part of their camping to rent offices complex, a video of Las mercedes business park, a complex designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects.

Venezuelan National Stadium - Caracas

The Venezuelan National Football Stadium, in Caracas - designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners in collaboration with Fenwick Iribarren, Arup and Schlaich Bergermann und Partner - sits on the hillside providing spectacular views of the city to the northeast. A lightweight, brightly-coloured bicycle wheel canopy roof, capturing the joy and vitality of the city and its people, hovers over the stadium.

Moroccan National Stadium - Casablanca

International contest to develop the Moroccan National Stadium with a capacity of 80.000 spectators in Casablanca. Designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects

Tennis Arena - Doha - Qatar

Fenwick Iribarren Architects was invited to the International competition for the new Doha tenis arena. Qatar is looking to host one of the best tennis tournaments in the world and therefore needs to upgrade their tennis city as it stands.

The design is for a new tennis stadium with a 10.000 spectator capacity and to be a landmark of tennis architecture.

New Valencia CF stadium

Fenwick Iribarren Architects was invited to the municipal football stadium of Zaragoza competition, this stadium would by the local stadium for the Real Zaragoza CF.

National Stadium - Albania - Tirana

Fenwick Iribarren Architects has received the commission by the Albanian Football Federation to develop a concept design fro the National Stadium in Tirana with a capacity of 30.000 spectators in Tirana.

Real Zaragoza S.A.D - Zaragoza - Spain
