Estadio Ras Abu Aboud / Ras Abu Aboud Stadium

Fenwick Iribarren junto con Schlaich Bergermann Partner and Hilson Moran han recibido el encargo del Supreme Committee para diseñar el Estadio Ras Abu Aboud. Sera el primer Estadio desmontable, transportable y reutilizable del Mundo y el tercer estadio que desarrolla FIA para el Mundial de Fútbol de Qatar 2022. El estadio tiene una capacidad para 40.000 espectadores y su estructura está basada en contenedores que pueden montarse y desmontarse fácilmente según se desee.
De esta forma, finalizado el Mundial, el estadio podría desmontarse por bloques o piezas y trasladarse a otra ciudad para el siguiente Mundial, ayudando a que sea más viable a nivel de sostenibilidad y finanzas para otros países. Asimismo, el solar donde se ubicará el estadio se quedaría totalmente libre para su venta en futuros desarrollos y así recuperar la inversión inicial.
Fenwick Iribarren together Schlaich Bergermann Partner and Hilson Moran were commissioned by the Supreme Committee to design Ras Abu Aboud Stadium. It will be the first ever demountable, transportable and reusable stadium in the World & the third stadium FIA has developed for the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The stadium has a capacity of 40.000 y and its structure is based on shipping containers which can be easily assembled or disassembled as required.
Following the World cup, the stadium can be dismantled by section or in parts and be transported to other host cities for the next World Cup, helping make it more sustainable and financially viable for other countries.
