The Project for the new Hercules football stadium aims to be a spectacular icon within the city of Alicante. The project maintains the existing structure and format of the bowl and looks to wrap the existing structure in amenities both for the stadium itself as well as the city neighbourhood.

The project studies the covering of all of the bowl with a membrane structure and tensile cables, which in turn in the most economical manner to resolve the issue with the least detriment to the stadium in use.

The project therefore creates a very strong image of the “Hercules Stadium”. Commercial space is located around the stadium and offices and possible hotel are located in a tower structure, an icon to the city.
