Competition - Real Madrid Headquarters

The new Real Madrid offices are located next to the Club´s Academy Building in Valdebebas.  A possible reference for the building is a modern vessel, a study towards a modern architecture in boats but implying certain traits very particular to the building required.  With its simple and sober lines, but at the same time with a great deal of stratification and lamination, culminating at the top with the “control bridge” or Real Madrid´s Presidency.  The Real Madrid building is perceived as a boat moored in the Fuerzas Armadas Avenue.

The plot has a series of slopes, which allows the displacement of some of the floors in order to emphasize the movement of the building.  The careful placement of each piece of the building creates a strong volumetric shape which reflects the landforms.  The building responds to these volume movements, to the site´s requirements and to the internal uses of the building on each floor.
