Supreme Court

The Master Plan looks to develop a conceptual idea for the future headquarters of the Supreme Court of Qatar.  The design developed is based on the idea of equilibrium in the balance of Justice, transferred to the shape of the Supreme Court building.

The Qatar Supreme Court building structure concept comprises two main longitudinal trusses with the floors formed by transverse trusses, spanning between the main ones. An emphatic volume flies over the entrance floor creating great spaces for shade and a solid and iconic image.

The main hall can be accessed on the ground floor, the Court Rooms are located on higher levels along with a floor of Offices. Both levels are supported on Vierendeel beams, avoiding the appearance of pillars inside the buildings and creating open spaces of high architectural quality.
