Fenwick Iribarren ha colaborado de nuevo con la UEFA en su última publicación “Playing for our Planet”, que examina el vínculo entre los deportes y el medio ambiente, y hace hincapié en su poder único para crear conciencia y promover la sostenibilidad entre los aficionados de todo el mundo. El informe ha sido publicado conjuntamente con la WWF y Green Sports Alliance y cuenta con la colaboración de 25 entidades europeas vinculadas con el mundo de la alta competición.
Como ejemplos de proyectos sostenibles incluye dos de los Estadios de Fútbol diseñados por Fenwick Iribarren. Uno es el Ras Abu Aboud, construido para el Mundial de Qatar 2022, que es totalmente reciclable y reutilizable, para futuros eventos deportivos. Y el otro es el Estadio de fútbol del RCD Espanyol, objeto de estudio por la UEFA como modelo de estadio moderno a imitar en Europa.
Fenwick Iribarren has collaborated with the UEFA once again on its latest publication, "Playing for our Planet", which examines the link between sports and the environment, and emphasizes its unique ability to enhance awareness and promote sustainability among fans all over the world. The report has been published jointly with the WWF and Green Sports Alliance and with the participation of 25 European entities linked to the world of elite competition.
The report includes two football stadiums designed by Fenwick Iribarren as examples of sustainable projects. One is the Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, built for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, which is completely recyclable and reusable for future sporting events. And the other is the RCD Espanyol Stadium, subject of study by the UEFA as a role model of a modern stadium in Europe.
