FIA appointed to lead design of Al-Ittihad Sports Village Project in Jeddah
FIA appointed as Lead Designer for the Al-Ittihad Sports Village Project in Jeddah, after winning an international design competition involving leading sports architecture practices.

FIA, member of 10N Collective, has been named lead designer for the Al-Ittihad Sports Village in Jeddah, following an international competition among leading global sports architecture firms. Designed as transformative landmark for the region, The project is aligned with the club’s long-term vision, FIFA standards, and the broader sports, urban, and social goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Ittihad Club Company, represented by the Director of Facilities and Infrastructure, Eng. Hassan Harsani, Parsons as Project Management Consultant and FIA as Lead Designer.
Carlos Muriel, newly appointed Managing Director of FIA, joined Eng. Hassan Harsani, Director of Facilities and Infrastructure at Al-Ittihad Club Company to formally sign and celebrate the appointment as lead designer for the new development. Parsons will be the Project Management Consultant, forming a first-class international delivery team alongside FIA
FIA’s proposal stood out for its strong alignment with FIFA requirements, the club’s operational and strategic needs, and its ability to translate this vision into a robust, flexible and high-performance Master Plan, conceived to set a new benchmark for club sports infrastructure development in the region.
The Master Plan comprises an integrated set of facilities, including the club’s corporate headquarters, first-team training facilities, football academy, performance development centres, additional headquarters buildings and commercial assets. These elements have been designed to strengthen the club’s sporting, operational and financial sustainability, while meeting high environmental sustainability standards.
The development benefits from a prime strategic location close to King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, offering excellent connectivity and seamless urban integration. The project actively contributes to the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting sporting excellence, talent development, infrastructure modernisation and the creation of internationally recognised sports destinations, while enhancing player performance, optimising operational efficiency and elevating the fan experience.
