The Oasis Stadium was a preliminary design for a new stadium close to the City of Doha. A stadium for the 2022 World Cup which could be integrated into the more urban setting of the City close to the sea.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The design looked to develop the structure of the roof in a more organic aesthetic, which is to bring connotations of Sidra Trees, common in Qatar. The idea of the trees as an Oasis in the desert brings strong connotations of local natural phenomena and culture.
The structural trees surround the stadium and support the roof shade, giving the oasis concept all around the facade. The interior bowl is designed for world cup quarter finals and follows the design criteria of other FIA designs where the spectators are located as close to the pitch as viable and excellent visibility from every seat.
