L’ORÉAL SPAIN HEADQUARTERS

- Client Cariboo Development
- Location Madrid Spain
- Size 32.750M2

The external appearance of the building is formed by the concept of vertical ribs that create large curtain wall windows on the north and south facades and smaller windows to minimize the effects of the sun on the east and west facades. It’s a relatively simple solution that allows for a wide range of functions for these different types of facades.
This project was designed from the outset to provide the best spatial solutions, which is essential to adapt to new work formats. The design promotes flexible workspaces, allowing users to choose the best place for their tasks. Three key axes shape the new headquarters: GO FLEX, GO TECH, and GO WELL.
Incorporating all these concepts of health, sustainability, and well-being, the building features large terraces designed not only for relaxation but also as occasional workspaces or meeting areas, as well as event spaces.
The building also incorporates energy efficiency systems for temperature control, low-energy LED lights with occupancy detectors in areas not continuously occupied, and other features that ensure sustainability. Solar panels have been installed to produce photovoltaic energy supplying all common area services, including office ventilation. Additionally, 130 fast chargers for electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles have been installed.
