In the design of Bolzano residential tower, special emphasis was placed on highlighting its status as an urban landmark, a quality the building could assume due to its height and its location at one of the main entry points to the city of Valencia.
This privileged location was addressed with various design strategies. Firstly, through the double-height porticos that crown the building on each of its four facades, giving the building a more urban scale that transcends its purely residential use. Secondly, efforts were made to achieve a distinctive, unified, and recognizable image for the entire building, through the serialization and standardization of facade solutions, continuous terraces, and vertical openings. This was somewhat challenging due to the large number of different housing typologies required.
