THE NEW BUILDING AIMS TO ACHIVE A SYMBOLIC AND REPRESENTATIVE APPEARENCE WHEN VIEWED FROM FLORESTA STREET´S AND SOMPORT STREET´S CORNER.

The Project is located in LasTablas neighbourhood of Madrid, in a fully established environement of high quality tertiary spaces and offices. The plot has a rectangular shape along Quintanadueñas Street, opening up like a fan towards Floresta Street, and this geometry sets the initial guidelines for the organiztion of the building.

SOBRE EL PROYECTO

The new building is formed by five floors above ground and two underground parking levels. It aims to achive a symbolic and representative appearence when viewed from Floresta Street´s and Somport Street´s corner.
The building ´s volume is organized in linear bans, with an attached volume housing vertical circulation elements, installation systems, and general restrooms for each floor.

THE LONGITUDINAL AND TRANSVERSAL MOVEMENT OF THESE VOLUMES CREATES HYBRID OUTDOOR WORKING SPACES LIKE TERRACES ASSOCIATED WITH THE OFFICES.

The longitudinal and transversal movement of these volumes creates outdoor spaces like terraces associated with the offices. Together with the intended use for part of the roof, these areas will become hybrid outdoor working spaces.

Finally, as a precursor to the building entrance, green recreacional areas are planned as a preliminary square within the fan-shaped area formed by the intersection of Somport and Floresta Street.
